The Rectangle Torpedo Drop-In Hi/Lo Electronic Ignition Fire Pit H-Burner Kit by HPC Fire (SKU: TOR-24X12SSEI-H-HI/LO Series) is an ultra-premium, high-velocity gas fire pit insert manufactured by Hearth Products Controls (HPC). Explicitly engineered to slide seamlessly into custom rectangular fire pit tables, modern masonry borders, or linear stone enclosures, this commercial-grade system integrates a recessed, drop-in bowl pan with a dual-lane H-Burner layout and HPC’s ground-breaking Torpedo Nozzle technology.

The top-tier Hi/Lo Electronic Ignition (EI) package adds full-scale wireless automation and dual-stage flame-height tuning directly from your smart device or handheld remote control.

High-Velocity Torpedo Nozzles & Dual-Lane H-Burner

  • Roaring Torpedo Flame Booster: Torpedo configurations swap standard drilled burner ports for precision-engineered, heavy-duty brass nozzles. These specialized jets dramatically increase gas-to-oxygen velocity, throwing extra-tall, robust, roaring flames that replicate the dramatic visual presence, movement, and heat radiation of an authentic wood campfire.

  • Full-Bodied H-Burner Geometry: Unlike basic single-line linear burners that create a thin wall of fire, the H-Burner utilizes two parallel burner tracks joined across a central fuel bridge. This layout spreads the flames across the full width of the rectangular footprint, creating a dense sheet of fire with rich visual depth.

  • Heavy-Duty Drop-In Bowl Pan: Built with a recessed rectangular bowl pan featuring a robust integrated perimeter support rim. This lip allows the insert to hang securely from the top opening of your non-combustible fire feature enclosure, hiding all plumbing and wiring out of sight.

Advanced Hi/Lo Ignition & Smart Telemetry

  • Two-Way Bluetooth App Connectivity: Outfitted with an integrated smart internal antenna inside a weather-sealed lower control valve box, the system seamlessly pairs with the proprietary, free HPC Fire smartphone app (iOS and Android). This allows you to safely light or extinguish your fire pit from up to 20 feet away, program countdown sleep timers, and run live system diagnostics.

  • 45% Variable Flame Height Control: Includes a dedicated handheld smart remote control. While baseline gas fire pits only provide static on/off limits, the Hi/Lo electronic module features a variable fuel track. You can select "HI" mode for roaring heat or dial the flames back down by 45% to lower gas consumption and generate an intimate, soft ambient glow.

  • Hot Surface Ignition (HSI) & Auto-Relight Protection: Uses a highly durable hot surface igniter paired with an advanced pilot flame loop and internal thermocouple. The safety module constantly monitors the fire path. If a sudden storm draft or gust of wind blows out the flame, the gas valve instantly closes to prevent pooling, then initializes a safe, immediate automatic re-ignition sequence.

  • Overheat Diagnostic Auto-Shutoff: Integrated internal thermal diagnostics continuously monitor control box operating metrics. If improper fire media nesting or poor base ventilation causes heat to spike beyond safe boundaries, the system executes an emergency shutoff to protect the digital board components.
