The Round Torpedo Drop-In On/Off Electronic Ignition Fire Pit Burner Kit by HPC Fire (SKU: TOR-PENTA19EI-NG/120VAC Series) is a commercial-grade, automated gas fire feature insert manufactured by Hearth Products Controls (HPC). Designed explicitly to slide seamlessly into custom round stone, brick, paver, or concrete fire tables, this premium system integrates a deep drop-in bowl pan with a Penta Burner layout and HPC’s ground-breaking Torpedo Nozzle technology.

The On/Off Electronic Ignition (EI) system provides a streamlined, static full-capacity flame height layout, making it an exceptional turnkey drop-in choice for automated residential patios, luxury resorts, hotels, and upscale restaurant venues.

High-Velocity Torpedo Nozzles & Penta Geometry

  • Roaring Torpedo Flame Booster: Torpedo configurations swap standard drilled burner ports for precision-engineered, heavy-duty brass nozzles. These specialized jets dramatically increase gas-to-oxygen velocity, throwing extra-tall, robust, roaring flames that replicate the dramatic visual presence and heat radiation of an authentic wood campfire.

  • Campfire-Style Penta Burner Layout: Standard on models 19 inches and larger is HPC's iconic Penta Burner architecture. Machine-welded from premium stainless steel with staggered burner ports, its distinct five-point geometry forces fuel toward the center of the pan, forming a tall, dense, and natural campfire-style presentation that looks stunning from every angle.

  • Self-Draining Drop-In Bowl Pan: Features a deep bowl-style pan equipped with a 1.5-inch perimeter mounting edge rim to drop firmly and securely into the top opening of your non-combustible fire feature housing. Outfitted with integrated weep holes for quick water drainage and a specialized raised center burner hub to prevent moisture from traveling down into the primary gas orifice.

On/Off Electronic Ignition Automation & Safety

  • Auto Re-Ignition & Safety Monitoring: The system features a hot surface ignition system with smart pilot telemetry. It constantly checks for the presence of a flame. If a sudden gust of wind unexpectedly blows out the fire, the smart valve immediately shuts down the gas flow to prevent dangerous accumulation, then initializes a safe automatic re-light sequence.

  • Streamlined Control Infrastructure: Built for absolute operational simplicity, the system activates to its maximum height on a single command. It is fully compatible with optional wall switches, standard home automation systems, or a dedicated outdoor hand-held remote.

  • Overheat Diagnostic Guard: Built-in internal temperature sensors actively monitor the lower circuitry chamber. If improper fire media nesting or poor base cavity ventilation causes heat to spike beyond safe boundaries, the system executes an emergency auto-shutoff for total peace of mind.
